  1. Nothing in paragraph 2(a) above will apply to:–

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

    (d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties in Bexley Road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

  2. The Order will come into force on Monday 1st September 2025, with the works anticipated to be completed on Monday 29th September 2025. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(SOMERSET ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3)

ORDER 2025

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames water works in Somerset Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:–

    (a) enter or proceed in Somerset Road, from its junction with Lincoln Avenue eastward for a distance of 30 metres; or

    (b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading, in the street or length of street specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

  3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Somerset Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

  4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:–

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

    (d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties adjacent the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

  6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Burghley Road, Calonne Road and Parkside or vice-versa.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  8. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

    ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

    LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

    (THE BROADWAY, SW19)

    (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate duct works in The Broadway, SW19; they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person will:–

    (a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in The Broadway, the length of eastbound carriageway which lies between Nos. 52 and 54 The Broadway to a point 3 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 66 and 68 The Broadway and generally to the north of the of the island site at its junction with Gladstone Road; or

    (b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

  3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Gladstone Road, Kingston Road and Merton Road.

  5. Nothing in the Order will apply: –

    (a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes subject to site conditions.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986

  7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 15th September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on Thursday 18th September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(CROXDEN WALK, SM4)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas connection and associated works in Croxden Walk, SM4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:–

    (a) enter or proceed in Croxden Walk, from its junction with Canterbury Road to the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Croxden Walk; or

    (b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

  3. Whilst the restrictions specified in paragraph 2(a) above are in force, the one-way working in Crowland Walk, Cerne Road and Croxden Walk will be suspended and two-way traffic permitted.

  4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Canterbury Walk, Crowland Walk and Cerne Road or vice-versa.

  6. Nothing in the Order will apply:–

    (a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 1st September 2025 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 5th September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(ROOKWOOD AVENUE, SW20)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Rookwood Avenue, SW20, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:–

    (a) enter or proceed in Rookwood Avenue, SW20, from the southern boundary of No. 2 Rookwood Avenue to its northernmost extremity;

    (b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

NB – the works will be carried out in 2 phases and the first phase will be cleared before the next phase is installed.

  1. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

  2. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  3. Rookwood Avenue is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.

  4. Nothing in the Order will apply to:–

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

  5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  6. The Order will come into operation on Monday 1 September 2025 and the works are anticipated to be completed by Friday 26 September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection works in Church Place, CR4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works no person will:–

    (a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Church Place, between its junction with Church Road and the common boundary of Nos. 10 and 12 Church Place; or
