The Merton (Bus Priority) (No. 1) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 202* The Merton (Prescribed Route) (Queens Road) Traffic Order 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the 'Bus Priority' Order would be to amend and shorten the length of the bus route in Queens Road so that it would extend from a point 36 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of the entrance to the Wimbledon Quarter car park north-eastward to a point 7 metres south-west of the said kerb-line, thereby facilitating the extension of the footway and improvements to the public realm.
3. The general effect of the "Prescribed Route" Order would be to:
(a) revoke the London Borough of Merton (Prescribed Route) (No. 80) Traffic Order 1992;
(b) prohibit vehicles proceeding in the bus route specified in paragraph 2 above from proceeding other than in a north-eastbound direction at the junction of Queens Road with the Wimbledon Quarter car park entrance.
4. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. Information may also be viewed athttps:// www.merton.gov.uk/streets-parking-transport/traffic-management/ consultations.
5. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/Queens2024, no later than 23 August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (LONDON ROAD (A24) AND LOWER MORDEN LANE. MORDEN) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council, with the agreement of Transport for London, hereby give notice that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, from 6am on Friday 9th August 2024 until 11.59pm on Sunday 11th August 2024, would be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:-
(a) London Road(A24), the north-west side, between its junction with Goodwood Close and its junction with Crown Road;
(b) Lower Morden Lane, the north side, between its junction with Epsom Road and its junction with Hillcross Avenue.
2. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of road specified in paragraph 1 above would be suspended.
4. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.
6. The Order would come into force at 6am on Friday 9th August 2024 and remain in force until 11.59pm on Sunday 11th August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 5) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they have made an Order, the effect of which, during the works, will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.
2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.
3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but will likely be those diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
4. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions
imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. The Order will come into force on Monday 29th July 2024 and the anticipated works dates are specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in De'arn Gardens, Love Lane, Pear Tree Close, Rayleigh Gardens and Taffy's How, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in:-
(a) De'Arn Gardens, both sides, for its entire length; or
(b) Love Lane, both sides, between the common boundary of Nos. 47 and 49 Love Lane to its junction with Western Road; or
(c) Pear Tree Close, both sides, for its entire length; or
(d) Raleigh Gardens, both sides, from its junction with Love Lane to the common boundary of Nos. 18 and 20 Raleigh Gardens; or
(e) Taffy's How, both sides, from its junction with Love Lane to the common boundary of Nos. 18 and 20 Taffy's How.
3. Any length of designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
7. The Order would come into force on Monday 5th August 2024 and would remain in force for a maximum of 12 months. The works are expected to be carried out on a rolling basis. Warning signs would be posted and cones placed on a road before the works take place on that road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 7) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice and in Hartfield Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from:-
(a) entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice;
(b) waiting, including in any parking places, in Montague Road, the east side, between its junction with Kingston Road and its junction with The Broadway, at any time from Friday 2nd August 2024 until Friday 23rd August 2024 as part of a diversion route for carriageway re-surfacing works in Hartfield Road.
2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road and any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 1(b) above would be suspended from Friday 2nd August 2024 until Friday 23rd August 2024.
3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress.
4. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(LANGDALE AVENUE. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Langdale Avenue, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effects of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Langdale Avenue, from its junction with Elmwood Road to the common boundary of Nos. 15 and 17 Langdale Avenue;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Langdale Avenue specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in the said road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. An alternative route for diverted traffic would be via London Road and Elmwood Road or vice-versa.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a policed community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to,
the length of Landale Avenue specified in paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Friday 9th August 2024 and the works are anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.
