Askew Road - Temporary Road Closure For Telecoms Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(ASKEW ROAD) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate Telecoms works it made an Order the effect of which will temporarily prohibit traffic in a section of the above-named road.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in:

a) Percy Road from the junction with Askew Road to a point 5 Meters Northeast of that Junction
b) Westville Road from the junction with Askew Road point 5 Meters Northeast of that Junction
c) Davisville Road from the junction with Askew Road point 5 Meters Northeast of that Junction
d) Starfield Road from the junction with Askew Road point 5 Meters Northeast of that Junction
e) Curwen Road from the junction with Askew Road point 5 Meters Northeast of that Junction

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided via Percy Road, Batson Street, Westville Road, Curwen Road, Hadyn Park Road and Starfield Road.

4. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The Order would come into operation on the 11th April 2023 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

6. Works would be expected to commence on Tuesday 11th April 2023 and last until the 29th April 2023. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
