What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
U6702 GREEN LANE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6702 Green Lane Ashington for a distance of 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th March 2023 until the 1st April 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates and times during this period.
20:00 hours on the 27/03/2023 until 06:00 hours on the 28/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 28/03/2023 until 06:00 on the 29/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 29/03/2023 until 06:00 hours on the 30/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 30/03/2023 until 06:00 hours on the 31/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 31/03/2023 until 06:00 hours on the 01/04/2023
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Green Lane, Briardene, Remscheid Way, Black Close Bank, Newbiggin Road, North Seaton Road, Green Lane and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Site Services on behalf of Balfour Beatty to install an under road crossing for cables.
