What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

TO BRIDGE WALL HOLY ISLAND
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U37 Sandham Lane to Bridge Wall from its point 55 metres north of its junction with Green Lane heading northwards for a distance of 20 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th March 2023 until the 24th March 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th March 2023 until the 17th March 2023 however it will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate to install a new household service connection.
