What is happening?

Whilst the above footpath is closed the alternative route will be via Footpath 54 Hanslope, Footpath 76 Hanslope and Long Street Road (and vice versa)
The Council is satisfied that the temporary footpath closures are necessary to ensure the safety of the public whilst construction of a new residential development is undertaken.
The closures will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the TSRGD 2016 (The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016). All affected properties will be notified of the forthcoming closures at least one week prior to the works taking place.
The temporary Traffic Regulation Order will come into effect on 20th March 2023 and will expire on 20th September 2023. However, if the related works are not completed within 6 months, the closure may continue under the provisions of a further Order made under Section 14(1) of the above Act, for a period of 6 months, if necessary
There will be no exemptions from the provisions of the proposed Order except for emergency service vehicles on operational duties.
Any person committing a breach of the proposed order will be liable upon prosecution to such fine as is prescribed by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

PUBLIC NOTICE 11:
The following statutory notice of Intent is hereby served on 9th March 2023:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 004, CASTLETHORPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. in order to enable Network Rail to carry out repair works to the footbridge. from 22nd March 2023 – 24th March 2023 (24 Hours).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Footpath 004, Castlethorpe – from its junction with South Street to its junction with Footpath 005 Castlethorpe.
Whilst the above length of Footpath is closed the alternative route will be via The Chequers, Station Road and North Street
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway. The temporary Order will come into effect on 22nd March 2023 and remain in effect for a period of 3 months and will take effect at times during the above period only when works are required and only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any closure.

The following statutory notice of proposal is hereby served on 6th March 2023:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, OLD WOLVERTON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order, under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Buckland Drive Bridgeturn Avenue, Colts Holm Road, Deans Road, Dickens Road and Old Wolverton Road in Old Wolverton.
The proposed restrictions will help to alleviate obstruction and encourage a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
As the Highway Authority for the above lengths of road, Milton Keynes City Council is satisfied that the introduction of the above proposed restrictions will help encourage a safer environment throughout.
The Council will continue to monitor the way in which highway facilities are used and address any issues that come to its notice and following meaningful consultation with all stakeholders do what it considers necessary to facilitate the expeditious, convenient, and safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Milton Keynes Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Details on how to comment and of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at: www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations.
Any representations or objections to the proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Highways Department at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Office, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-331 and to be received no later than 27th March 2023.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 07 March 2023 made the above Traffic Regulation Order under sections sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Atkinson Way, Crossley Drive and Fen Street at Magna Park.
The made Order will take effect on 10 March 2023.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 07 March 2023 made the above Traffic Regulation Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Fen Street in Brooklands, that are yet to be adopted as public highway.
The made Order will take effect on 10 March 2023.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
