What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ORDER
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS NO.4, SHIPLEY (PART) & NO.100 & NO.159, HEANOR & LOSCOE (PART)
WHEN: 17th March 2023 to 28th April 2023
WHERE: Close public bridleway No.4 Shipley 30 metres from south of Osbourne’s Pond edge. Close public bridleways Heanor & Loscoe No.159 from the pond south-east for 18 metres and Bridleway No.100 the length of the dam at Osbourne’s Pond (Shipley Lane), to the junction of public footpath No.109.
REASON: To facilitate public safety whilst spillway works and maintenance are carried out. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The pond can be traversed to the west in public open space.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of the bridleways. The bridleways will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
