LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(U275 BLACK MOSS LANE, SCARISBRICK, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of U275 Black Moss Lane, Scarisbrick from a point 180m North West of its junction with A570 Southport Road, Scarisbrick for a distance of 130m in a North Westerly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 27th March 2023 until 1700 hours on Friday 31st March 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- B5243 Jacksmere Lane, Scarisbrick – A570 Southport Road, Scarisbrick and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow excavation of a joint bay for a high voltage connection to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity North West.
