What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(MAIN STREET, HIGH CATTON AND
LOFTHOUSE LANE, LOW CATTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed along the entire lengths of Main Street,
High Catton and Lofthouse Lane, Low Catton.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
works to install a new electrical connection, to be carried
out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 12 May 2023.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is
via Long Lane, Broad Lane, York Road, Main Street, Storking
Lane, Ling Lane, Newbridge Lane, Moor Road, Church Road
and High Catton Road. The roads will be open at all times
to pedestrians, residents and for emergency services.
The Order will commence on 13 March 2023 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
