A196 NEWBIGGIN ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A196 Newbiggin Road Ashington for a distance of 10 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th March 2023 until the 25th March 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th March 2023.
20:00 hours on the 20/03/2023 to 06:00 hours on the 21/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 21/03/2023 to 06:00 hours on the 22/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 22/03/2023 to 06:00 hours on the 23/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 23/03/2023 to 06:00 hours on the 24/03/2023
20:00 hours on the 24/03/2023 to 06:00 hours on the 25/03/2023
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B1334, A189, A1147, A196 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Balfour Beatty to install an under road crossing for cables.
