What is happening?

U9706 HESTER GARDENS
TO THE AVENUE NEW HARTLEY
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9706 Hester Gardens To The Avenue New Hartley for a distance of 60 metres, 30 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th March 2023 until the 20th March 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates and times during this period.
22:00 hours on the 10th March 2023
until the 06:00 hours on the 13th March 2023
22:00 hours on the 17th March 2023
until the 06:00 hours on the 20th March 2023
The Order is to be effective from the 10th March 2023 until the 20th March 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the U9706 Hester Gardens To The Avenue. St Michaels Avenue, Bristol Street, Double Row, Astley Road, The Avenue and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Balfour Beatty to install under road crossing for cables.
