East Surrey Street, Portsmouth - Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (East Surrey Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.73) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 9th March 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
EAST SURREY STREET
At its junction with Upper Arundel Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Walk 80 Scheme works - construction of continuous footway.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 9th March 2023 to 29th March 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Vehicles will be diverted from East Surrey Street - Bridport Street - Upper Arundel Street and vice versa or Bridport Street - Arundel Street - Upper Arundel Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
