What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(LOW LANE, SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2023

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting At Anytime on Low Lane, north side from a point 5m west of its junction with Windlass Court in an easterly direction to a point 15m east of its
junction with Bensham Court and from a point 42m east of its junction with Bensham Court in an easterly direction for a distance of 77m including the eastern point of the carriageway and south side from a point 5m west of its junction with Windlass Court in an easterly direction for a distance of 215m; Windlass Court, both sides from its junction with Low Lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 51m; Bensham Court, both sides from its junction with Low lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 23m and north side for its entire length of the northern kerb line; Newland Court, both sides from its junction with Low Lane in a northerly direction for a distance of 5m and west side from a point 17m north of its junction with Low Lane in a northerly then westerly direction for a distance of 15m and north side for its entire length in a westerly, northerly then north
easterly direction. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengthsof road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected
from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below. Alternatively, you
can request a copy of the documentation by emailing lynne.sloan@southtyneside.gov.uk. If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council’s Legal Services Department at the address below or by using the same email address above by the 23 March 2023. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
