What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

CHART ROAD, CHART SUTTON ME17 3RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2023
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 6th March 2023 for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with A274 North Street and Church Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Road, Warmlake Road, Norton Road, A274 North Street and vice versa.

EAST HALL HILL, BOUGHTON MONCHELSEA. ME17 4JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2023
To allow new cable works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of East Hall Hill, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 8th March 2023, for up to one day, between the
hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Wierton Hill to the junction that leads to Rose Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via East Hall Hill, Wierton Hill, Hermitage Lane, East Hall Hill and vice versa.

HONEY LANE, OTHAM ME15 8RX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2023
To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Honey Lane, Otham, on or after 7th March 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the verge adjacent to Buglehorn Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Honey Lane, New Road, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road, White Horse Lane and vice versa.

LENHAM ROAD, KINGSWOOD ME17 3PX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2023
To allow overhead and underground network works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Kingswood, on or after 20th March 2023 for up to 4 days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Ulcombe Hill and Gravelly Bottom Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road, Tilden Road, Ulcombe Road,
Kings Road, Mill Bank, Maidstone Road, Headcorn Road, North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.

MELVILLE ROAD, MAIDSTONE ME15 7UW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2023
To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Melville Road, Maidstone, on or after 22nd March 2023 for up to 3 days, or until the
works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 26, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Melville Road, A249 Moat Road, A229 Upper Stone Street, Brunswick Street East, Kingsley Road and vice versa.

PLUMTREE ROAD, HEADCORN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2023
To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Plumtree Road, Headcorn, on or after 6th March 2023 for up to 4 days or until the works have
been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Four Oaks Road and Plumtree Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Four Oaks Road, Summerhill, Moat Road, Mill Bank, Maidstone Road, East Sutton Road and vice versa
