(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) TRAFFIC REGULATION
ORDER 20xx

NOTICE is given that Sunderland City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time restriction along the lengths of road in the Schedule and to revoke the no waiting at any time restriction for Blind Lane along the east side from a point 6.5 metres south of its intersection with the extended southern highway boundary of Tunstall View, in a northerly direction for a distance of 17.2 metres from The City of Sunderland (Blind Lane and Blind Lane East Back, Silksworth) Traffic Order 2014. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA, until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Order is made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to proceed to make the Order. An electronic copy of the documents can also be obtained by emailing: statutoryorders@sunderland.gov.uk.
Objections and representations to the Order must be made in writing to E. Waugh, Assistant Director of Law and Governance, City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA or via email at: statutoryorders@sunderland.gov.uk on or before 23rd March 2023 and any objection must state the grounds on which it is made. Schedule - Blind Lane (I) the east side from the extended northern highway boundary of North Terrace, to its northern extent. (ii) the west side from a point 15.7 metres south of the extended party property boundary of 26 & 27 George Street East, to its northern extent. (iii) the east side from a point 4.0 metres south of the extended southern highway boundary of Tunstall View, to a point 6.7 metres north of the extended northern highway boundary of Tunstall View. (iv) the west side from a point 2.3 metres north of the extended party property boundary of 12 & 13 George Street East, to a point 2.4 metres south of the extended party property boundary of 17 & 18 George Street East. Miller Terrace - (i) the north-east side from the extended party property boundary of 18 & 19 Miller Terrace, to its south-eastern extent. (ii) the south-west side from a point 4.1 metres south-east of the extended party property boundary of 34 & 35 George Street East, to its south-eastern extent. Wilson Terrace North Back - both sides from a point 8.3 metres north-east of the extended north-eastern highway boundary of Miller Terrace. to its south-western extent.
