A1171 CROW HALL LANE / WESTMORLAND WAY CRAMLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the following sections of highway in Cramlington in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th January 2023 until the 31st of August 2023.
Road Closures:
A1171 Crow Hall Lane from its junction with the B1326 Station Road heading northwards for a distance of 124 metres, expected work dates 27th January 2023 until the 31st of March 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Nelson Drive and Station Road and vice versa.
The alternative access for St Nicholas Manor development will be via Spilsby Crescent.
A1171 Westmorland Way from its junction with Station Road roundabout heading south for a distance of 135 metres, expected work dates 27th January 2023 until the 31st of March 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period, however the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Station Road and Dudley Lane and vice versa.
B1326 Station Road from its point 130 metres east of Station Road roundabout heading west for a distance of 130 metres, expected work dates 1st April 2023 until the 24th of June 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Westmorland Way and Dudley Lane and vice versa.
A1172 Station Road from its junction with the U9553 Bassington Avenue heading east for a distance of 333 metres, expected work dates 1st April 2023 until the 24th of June 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Nelson Drive and Crow Hall Lane and vice versa.
Footway Closures:
U9561 Westmorland Footway from its intersection with Station Road heading south for a distance of 135 metres, expected work dates 27th January 2023 until 31st March 2023. The footway will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
U9561 Westmorland Footway from its point 51 metres south of Station Road roundabout heading east for a distance of 145 metres, expected work dates 27th January 2023 until the 31st of March 2023. The footway will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
U9552 Nelson Village Footway from its intersection with Crow Hall Lane to the Aged Miners Homes for a distance of 60 metres, expected work dates 27th January 2023 until the 31st of March 2023. The footway will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
U9552 Nelson Village Footway from its intersection with Station Road to the Aged Miners Homes for a distance of 29 metres, expected work dates 1st April 2023 until the 24th of June 2023. The footway will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
U9548 Westmorland Way Footway from its intersection with Station Road heading south for a distance of 130 metres, expected work dates 1st April 2023 until the 24th of June 2023. The footway will be closed at all times during this period, however, the order will remain in place until 31st August 2023.
Pedestrian traffic to follow the diversion signage for the alternative routes.

The closure has been requested by Fred Mence Construction Ltd to install a new roundabout and the construction of a new road and walkways and will work in conjunction with Northumberland County Council who will be further carrying out works for the resurfacing of Station Road between Bassington Avenue and Station Road roundabout.
