Cumwell Lane, Hellaby, Rotherham temporary closure due to construction work
What is happening?
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 60 miles hour to 40 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of Cumwell Lane from the northern kerb line of Sandy Lane to the existing speed limit signs located approximately 60m south of the southern kerb line of Bateman Road from Tuesday 10th January 2023 until Monday 8th January 2024.
The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (safety of site personnel during construction work).
