(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND ONE WAY SYSTEM)
ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to temporary close the lengths of highway shown below and to introduce a one-way system on the lengths of highway shown below in Morpeth in the County of Northumberland.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be introduced on the following sections of highway:-
A197 Damside south bound carriageway from its junction with Gas House Lane Roundabout heading north for a distance of 10 metres.
A197 Bridge Street south west bound carriageway from its junction with Telford Bridge Roundabout to Damside for a distance of 78 metres.
Whilst this road is closed a one-way-system will be introduced as shown below:-
One-Way-System:-
A197 Damside north bound from its junction with Gas House Lane
Roundabout heading north for a distance of 10 metres.
A197 Bridge Street north east bound carriageway from its junction
withTelford Bridge Roundabout to Damside for a distance of 78
metres.
Wherein all vehicular traffic will be required to travel in a south westerly direction.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be introduced on the following sections of highway :-
A197 Damside north bound carriageway from its junction with Gas
House Lane Roundabout heading north for a distance of 10 metres.
A197 Bridge Street north east bound carriageway from its junction
with Telford Bridge Roundabout to Damside for a distance of 78
metres.
Whilst this road is closed a one-way-system will be introduced as shown below:-

House Lane Roundabout heading north for a distance of 10 metres.
A197 Bridge Street south west bound carriageway from its junction
with Telford Bridge Roundabout to Damside for a distance of 78
metres.
Wherein all vehicular traffic will be required to travel in a south westerly direction.
The Order is to be effective from the 3rd January 2023 until the 3rd June 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 3rd January 2023 until the 6th January 2023 however it will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Bridge Street, Newgate Street, Manchester Street, Wellway, Dacre Street, Dark Lane, Damside.
