TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Sunderland City Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all pedestrian, horse and cycle traffic from those footpaths and footways listed in the schedule below. The Order is required to allow for cabling works. The order will come into force on 19th January 2023. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be six months, it is estimated that the works will take the full six month. All pedestrians, horses, cycles will be prohibited from the footways detailed in the Schedule below and from any footpath connecting to any highway or footway detailed in the Schedule (except for vehicles and personnel involved in the works), until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained throughout.
