What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE EXTENSION
A6 DERWENT WAY, MATLOCK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 30th June 2022 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close A6 Derwent Way, Matlock (between its junction with A6 Dale Road and entrance to The Station car park) has been extended.
The alternative route will be via Dale Road (Matlock Bridge), Crown Square, A615 Bakewell Road, A6 Derwent Way (to point of closure) and vice versa.
The road will be closed until 31st March 2023 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner to facilitate river flood defence works.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the temporary restriction. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
