CLOSURE) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Longhoughton Public Footpath No 12, in the County of Northumberland.
The length of Public Footpath No 12 which is affected is as follows:-
From a point 160 metres north of the C80 road (Station Road) opposite the northern end of Public Bridleway No 9 in a northerly direction for a distance of 70 metres then continuing in an easterly direction for a distance of 45 metres to a point 240 metres north of the C80 road (Station Road) opposite the northern end of Public Bridleway No 9.
There is an alternative route available from a point 160 metres north of the C80 road (Station Road) opposite the northern end of Public Bridleway No 9 in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 85 metres to a point 240 metres north of the C80 road (Station Road) opposite the northern end of Public Bridleway No 9.
The Order is to be effective from the 16th December 2022 until the 16th June 2023.

The closure has been requested by Tynedale Roadstone Limited in the interests of public safety to enable adjacent quarrying operations in accordance with granted planning permission.
