(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH
CLOSURE) EXTENSION ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that THE Secretary of State has agreed to extend the closure of Parish of Longframlington Public Footpath No 12, in the County of Northumberland.
The length of Public Footpath No 12 which is affected is as follows:-
From a point 28 metres north-east of Fairfields, in an north-easterly direction, for a distance of 151 metres, to a point 125 metres north of The Stables.
There is an alternative route available from a point 30 metres north-east of Fairfields, in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 55 metres, then in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres, then in a general northerly direction, for a distance of 105 metres, to a point 125 metres north of The Stables.
The Order which came into force on the 20th June 2022 and which would have expired on the 20th December 2022 will continue to be in force until 20th June 2023 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The extension has been requested by Cussins (North East) Limited, in the interests of public safety to facilitate the construction of a new footpath link from A697 through to the housing development and new foul and storm drainage.
