What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 33 (PART) GREAT WYRLEY TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on November 1st 2022 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 33 Great Wyrley from a point approximately 154 metres south – east of its junction with Landywood Ln and continuing in a generally south – easterly direction for approximately 56 metres.
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984
Section 14 (1) (b) due to the construction of a residential development. The works associated with this will prevent safe usage of the public right of way.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the alternative route provided, the length
of public footpath to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 8th November 2022 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is considered to be over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – DIVERSION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Bramble Ln, Burntwood. Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 1st November 2022 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Bramble Ln, Burntwood. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=130663361. The Order will come into operation on 9th November 2022 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the tree maintenance works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
