PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO.16 & NO.17 BRIMINGTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 1st November 2021 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Public Footpath No.16 for 300 metres from its junction with Public Footpath No. 15. Close Public Footpath No.17 for 500 metres from North Moor View, has been further continued. The alternative route is: From the Eastern end travel East along North Moor View, then North onto Manor Road, then Northwest onto Cotterhill Lane for 150 metres to Public Footpath No.16, head Southwest for 120 metres then use alleyway onto Nether Croft Road, then Northwards use alleyway onto Headland Road, then North onto Chesterfield Road, then head Westward for 160 metres onto Public Footpath No. 17. Visa Versa from the West. The Public Footpath will be closed until 31st May 2023 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. Reason for closure: to enable an archaeological investigation and ground works associated with residential development to be undertaken.
