Stafford Town, Temporary Pubic Footpath Restrictions

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO 39 (PART), PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NOS 56, 58 AND 61 (PART) STAFFORD TOWN
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 22 September
2022, made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along:
• Part of Public Bridleway No 39 Stafford Town from its junction with public Footpath
No 61 Stafford Town heading in a generally westerly direction and then turning in a south westerly direction for approximately 250 metres and then in a west-northwesterly direction for approximately 75 metres.
• Part of Public Footpath No 58 Stafford Town from its junction with Public Bridleway
No 39 heading in a generally South-south-westerly direction for approximately 206 metres.
• Part of Public Footpath No. 56 Stafford Town from a point approximately 190 metres south of Public Bridleway No 39 Stafford heading in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 209 metres.
• Part of Public Footpath No 61 Stafford Town from a point approximately 320 metres south of the dismantled railway and heading in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 292 metres to its junction with Public Bridleway No 39 Stafford Town.
The closures are required due to ongoing building works.
Alternative routes will be available.
This Order came into operation on 28 September 2022 and will remain in force for a further period of six months or until the building works are complete, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
