(PINE AVENUE, NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 22nd day of October, 2026 the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along Pine Avenue from number 1 Pine Avenue to number 11 Pine Avenue, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order came into force on Monday 26th October 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be 15 days. The alternative route will be via Park Avenue South, Park Road South, Maple Avenue and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the replacement of a section of gas main.
