Rusland - Temporary Road Closure to All Traffic due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5062 FORCE FORGE NEAR RUSLAND) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5062, from its junction with the U5059, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 640 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the U5059, C5025, U5063 and the unrestricted section of the U5062.

The Order will come into operation on 24th November 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 9 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
