Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
ST PETERS ROAD, WOODGATE DRIVE, CHELLASTON, DERBY
WHEN: 18 November 2026 to 23 November 2026 (09.30 - 15.30) Daily WHERE: St Peters Road, from its junction with Woodgate Drive to its junction with Bridle Close. Woodgate Drive, from its junction with Glenwood Road to its junction with St Peters Road. REASON: Carriageway resurfacing works. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: St Peters Road – High Street – Swarkestone Road – Glenwood Road (Access Road) – Woodgate Drive (and the same in the opposite direction).

REASON: Drainage repairs ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Manor Road – Uttoxeter New Road – Mercian Way – Burton Road (and the same in the opposite direction).

WHEN: 16 November 2026 to 18 December 2026 WHERE: Canal Street, from its junction with Siddals Road to its junctions with Castle Boulevard and Park Street New Street, from its junction with John Street to its junction with Canal Street Access to be maintained REASON: Section 278 works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Park Street – Midland Road – Railway Terrace – Siddals Road – John Street (and the same in the opposite direction).
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE BUS LANE ORDER AND
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CHEQUERS ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 16 November 2026 to 20 November 2026 (20:00 - 05.30) Overnight Daily WHERE: Chequers Road, from both its junctions with Petrol Station to its junction with Cranmer Road – for a distance of approximately 70 metres. Chequers Road, suspend the entire bus lane. REASON: Carriageway resurfacing works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The Pentagon – The Underpass – Eastgate – Holmes Bridge – St Alkmunds Way – Station Approach – Pride Parkway – Derwent Parade – Wyvernside – Chequers Road and Chequers Road – Wyvernside – Derwent Parade – Pride Parkway – Station approach – St Almunds Way – Darwin Place – The Underpass – Eastgate – The Pentagon.

WHEN: 17 November 2026 to 17 November 2026 WHERE: Crewe Street, from its junction with Almond Street to its junction with Vincent Street. REASON: Drainage works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Almond Street – Clarence Road – Stanton Street (and the same in the opposite direction).
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON STAKER LANE, MICKLEOVER, DERBY
WHEN: 16 November 2026 to 30 November 2026 WHERE: Staker Lane, from its junction with The Hollow and Haven Baulk Lane to the Derby City Boundary – a distance of approximately 130 metres from Longcroft Boarding Kennells & Cattery REASON: Carriageway resurfacing works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Haven Baulk Lane – Rykneld Road – Findern Interchange roundabout – Staker Lane (and the same in the opposite direction).
