TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council has made an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along that length Bedford Road, Milton Ernest at a speed exceeding of 40 mph This temporary 40 mph speed restriction is required for safety of the public and workforce for Carriageway resurfacing, replacement of ironworks, drainage surveying and lining and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary 40 mph speed restriction is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 9th November 2026 to 15th December 2026.
