SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Anchor Road (Part), Calne; from its property known as No.82 Anchor Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.

B) Bentley Grove (Part), Calne; from its junction with Anchor Road for a distance of approximately 10m in an easterly direction to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out mains replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via Anchor Road (unaffected length) – London Road – New Road – The Strand – Mill Street – Anchor Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. C) C38 (Part), Fyfield and West Overton; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 145m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out civils and other associated works. Alternative route via C38 (unaffected length) – C73 – A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. D) Ingram Street (Part), Malmesbury; from its property known as No.3 Ingram Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out interceptor removal works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 30 November 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. E) C68 (Part), Sherston; from its property known as No.16 Court Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction to enable Bristol Water to carry out lead pipe replacement works and other associated works. F) B4696 (Part), Leigh and Purton; from outside its property known as Thatado Farm for a distance of approximately 660m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole installation work, ducting works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 30 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 06 December 2026. T) C197 (Part), Shalbourne; from its property known as The Steepes to its property known as South Lodge to enable Openreach to carry out frame and cover repair. This Order which previously came into operation on 13 August 2026 will now recommence on 11 November 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For Orders A) to S) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order T) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

A) Footpath 2 (Part), Cricklade; from its junction with B4040 for a distance of approximately 160m in a northerly direction.

B) Footpath 3 (Part), Cricklade; from its junction with Footpath 2, Cricklade to its junction with Stockham Close to enable Openreach to carry out ducting works for customer connection and other associated works.

No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 02 December 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.
