What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SUFFOLK COASTAL) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF WOODBRIDGE) (HASKETON ROAD) (B1079) (RESTRICTION ON WAITING) (VARIATION NO 29) ORDER 202-

Suffolk County Council also proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 3 of Map Tile FV142 in place of revision 2 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 Order. The effect of this would be to introduce:

‘No waiting at any time’ on:

  • The splay on the east side of Hasketon Road (C316), Woodbridge from a point 7.8 metres north of the centre of its junction with Catherine Road (U3630), for a distance of 15.3 metres in a northerly direction.

  • The splay on the west side of Hasketon Road (C316), Woodbridge from a point 56.2 metres north of the centre of its junction with Grundisburgh Road (B1079), for a distance of 8.3 metres in a northerly direction.

  • The splay on the west side of Hasketon Road (C316), Woodbridge from a point 10.2 metres north of the centre of its junction with Grundisburgh Road (B1079), for a distance of 4.4 metres in a northerly direction.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.

Copies of the draft Order, map showing the roads affected and the Council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Woodbridge Library, New Street, Woodbridge, IP12 1DT, from: Monday: 10am - 5pm, Tuesday: 9am - 6.30pm, Wednesday: 9am - 5.30pm, Thursday: 9am - 5.30pm, Friday: 9am - 7pm, Saturday: 9am - 5pm and Sunday: 10am - 4pm.
