Footpath 34/48 Pontardulais Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian For Replacing An Unsafe Wall
What is happening?
Gorchymyn Sir Gaerfyrddin
(Llwybr Troed Cyhoeddus 34/48 Heol Pontarddulais, Llanedi)
Gwaharddiad dros dro ar Gerddwyr 2024
HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin wedi gwneud Gorchymyn ar y pumed o Fai, Dwy Fil a Dau Ddeg Tri a oedd yn gwahardd unrhyw un rhag cerdded ar hyd y darn hwnnw o Lwybr Troed 34/48 sy'n ymestyn o Heol Pontarddulais, Llanedi am bellter o oddeutu pedwar deg tri (43) metr i gyfeiriad cyffredinol y de-ddwyrain hyd at Barc Derlyn.
Mae angen cau'r llwybr er mwyn sicrhau diogelwch y cyhoedd nes bod gwaith i ailadeiladu wal anniogel ar hyd Llwybr Troed 34/48 wedi'i gwblhau.
Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 8 Mai 2023 ac roedd i fod i ddod i ben ar ôl cyfnod o chwe mis ond nid yw'r gwaith a ddisgrifiwyd uchod sy'n effeithio ar y darn hwnnw o Lwybr Troed 34/48 y cyfeiriwyd ato uchod wedi cael ei gwblhau eto ac felly mae Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet i Ogledd Cymru a Thrafnidiaeth, un o Weinidogion Cymru, wedi cydsynio yn unol ag Adran 15(5) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991) i ymestyn y cyfnod cau am gyfnod pellach o 6 mis. Bydd parhad y Gorchymyn, yn ôl y cyfarwyddyd dan sylw, yn golygu y bydd y Gorchymyn Cau Dros Dro yn parhau mewn grym tan ac yn cynnwys 6ed o Fai 2027 neu nes bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag sydd gyntaf. Bydd angen caniatâd Gweinidogion Cymru ar gyfer unrhyw estyniad pellach.
Y Llwybr Arall ar gyfer y rhai sy'n cerdded tua'r de-ddwyrain fydd mynd i gyfeiriad y gogledd-ddwyrain ar hyd Heol Pontarddulais am bellter o tua wyth deg wyth metr (88) metr, hyd at y gyffordd â Pharc Derlyn. Troi i'r dde wrth y gyffordd a theithio i gyfeiriad cyffredinol y de-orllewin ar hyd Parc Derlyn hyd at y gyffordd gyntaf ar y dde, sef ffordd bengaead. Troi i'r dde wrth y gyffordd a theithio i gyfeiriad y gogledd-orllewin er mwyn dychwelyd i fan i'r de-ddwyrain o'r man lle mae'r ffordd ar gau.
I'r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer cerddwyr sy'n teithio tua'r gogledd-orllewin

(Public Footpath 34/48 Pontardulais Road, Llanedi)
Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council on the fifth day of May Two Thousand and Twenty Three made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian traffic from proceeding along that length of Footpath 34/48 extending from Pontardulais Road, Llanedi for a distance of approximately forty three (43) metres in a general south-easterly direction to Derlin Park.
In the interest of public safety the closure is required until works of replacing an unsafe wall along the length of Footpath 34/48 have been completed.
The Order came into force on 8th May, 2023 and was due to expire after a period of six months but the works above described affecting that length of Footpath 34/38 here in before referred to have not yet been completed therefore the Cabinet Secretary for North Wales and Transport, one of the Welsh Ministers, has pursuant under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) consented to extend the closure by a further period of 6 months. The continuation of the Order, by the said direction, will mean that the Temporary Closure Order will continue in force until and including the 6th May 2027 or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. Any further extension will require the consent of the Welsh Ministers.
The Alternative Route for southeast bound pedestrian traffic is to proceed in a north easterly direction along Pontardulais Road for a distance of approximately eighty-eight (88) metres, to its junction with Derlin Park.
Turn right at the junction and continue in a general south westerly direction along Park Derlin to the first junction on the right-hand side, being a cul de sac.
Turn right at the junction and advance in a north westerly direction to return to a point southeast of the closure.
Vice Versa for northwest bound pedestrian
