Winchester - Temporary Road Closures due to Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – THE BROADWAY & COLEBROOK STREET, WINCHESTER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow an event to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
1. The Broadway between its junction with Colebrook Street and its junction with B3330 roundabout.
2. Colebrook Street between its junction with Market Lane and its junction with The Broadway.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High Street, Colebrook Street.
COACH ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bridge Street, Chesil Street, Barfield Close, Bar End Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Saturday 21st November 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the event whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 month and this order will be in operation every Saturday and Sunday until Sunday 20th December 2026 between the hours 14:30-17:30).
