ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
COMMON LANE, BROOMFLEET
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Common Lane, Broomfleet commencing Wednesday 18 November 2026 until Monday 30 November 2026 between 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours to allow for GPR survey works. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 13 days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Common Lane, Common Road, Ellerker Lane, Cave Lane, Cavegate Nurseries Access Road,
Norfolk Bank Lane, Ings Lane, Ellerker Road, Main Street and Carr Lane, Broomfleet CP, South Cave
CP, Ellerker CP, Howdenshire Ward, Dale Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but
access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
