In accordance with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act
2004, Regulations 26 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended) and Regulation 16 of the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 notice is hereby given that Newark & Sherwood District Council formally adopted its Amended Allocations & Development Management DPD on 20 October 2026 as a Local Plan.
The Amended Allocations & Development Management DPD forms part of the Newark & Sherwood Local Development Framework (LDF) and will completely replace the adopted Allocations & Development Management DPD (2013) and Core Policy 1 and 3 of the Amended Core Strategy.
Full details of the Adoption, including the rights relating to legal challenge are contained within an Adoption Statement which along with the adopted Amended Allocations & Development Management DPD, the updated Integrated Impact Assessment
(incorporating the Sustainability Appraisal and the Strategic Environmental Assessment) (prepared in accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 (3) (4) and (16)), and the Sustainability Appraisal Adoption Statement are available for public inspection at the following locations:
