Rhydlewis - Temporary Road Closure due to Highway Refurbishment Works

HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod y Cyngor wedi gwneud Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Ceredigion (U5071 Rhydlewis) (Gwahardd Traffig Drwodd Dros Dro) 2026, gan wahardd pob cerbyd rhag mynd ar hyd y briffordd honno. Cedwir mynediad i gerddwyr. Y ffordd arall ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio i gyfeiriad y gogledd o bwynt i’r de o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd yw teithio ar hyd yr U5071 i’r gyffordd â’r U5070. Trowch i’r dde i’r U5070 gan deithio i’r gyffordd â’r B4334. Trowch i’r dde i’r B4334 gan deithio i’r gyffordd â’r U5071 (gyferbyn â’r Hen Felin). Trowch i’r dde i’r U5071 gan barhau hyd y pwynt i’r gogledd o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd. Noder nad yw’r U5071 yn addas ar gyfer cerbydau hir. Ac i’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer traffig sy’n mynd i’r de. Mae’r ffordd arall oddeutu 1.5 milltir. Cafodd y Gorchymyn ei roi ar waith ar 30/10/2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym hyd nes y bydd y gwaith o adfer y briffordd wedi’i gwblhau. Gall y Gorchymyn barhau mewn grym am 18 mis.

Ceredigion County Council

NOTICE is given that the Council have made the Ceredigion County Council (U5071 Rhydlewis) Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2026 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway. Pedestrian access maintained. The alternative route for north bound traffic from a point south of the closure is to travel along the U5071 to its junction with the U5070. Turn right onto the U5070 and travel to its junction with the B4334. Turn right onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the U5071 (opposite The Old Mill). Turn right onto the U5071 and continue to a point north of the closure. Please note that the U5071 is unsuitable for long vehicles. Vice versa for south bound traffic. A distance of approximately 1.5 miles. The Order was implemented on the 30/10/2026 and will remain in place until the refurbishment of the highway has been completed. The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
