Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
Addiscombe Road, Margate, CT9 2NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addiscombe Road, Margate, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addiscombe Road, B2052 College Road, Upper Dane Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Callis Court Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Callis Court Road, Broadstairs, on or after 11th November 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 16, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Callis Court Road, Stanley Road, Lindenthorpe Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cannonbury Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cannonbury Road, Ramsgate, on or after 23rd November 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Florence Road to the side of 71 West Cliff Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Cliff Road, B2054 London Road, Grange Road, Cannonbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Foads Hill, Ramsgate, CT12 5EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foads Hill, Ramsgate, on or after 26th November 2026 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:45 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foads Hill, Cliffs End Road, Sandwich Road, Lord Of The Manor Roundabout, A256 Canterbury Road West, Canterbury Road West, Foads Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Grosvenor Place, Margate, CT9 1NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grosvenor Place, Margate, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order for Grosvenor Place will be suspended the entire length.
Grosvenor Place will be closed outside number 28.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2055 Marine Gardens, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road and Grosvenor Place.
Grosvenor Place will be closed outside number 126 Flat 1.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Grosvenor Gardens, B2055 Churchfields, B2055 Churchfield Place, B2055 Hawley Square, B2055 Cecil Street, B2055 Cecil Square, B2055 Queen Street, B2055 Marine Gardens and Grosvenor Place.

High Street, Minster, CT12 4AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Minster, on or after 23rd November 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside numbers 17, 43, 58 & 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Church Street, Bedlam Court Lane, Foxborough Lane, Tothill Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Manston Court Road, Margate, CT9 4LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Manston Court Road, Margate, on or after 16th November 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sunnyside, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Manston Court Road, Star Lane, Star Lane Link, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, B2050 Manston Road, Preston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Park Road, Birchington, CT7 9DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Road, Birchington, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 30 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 22, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Road, The Parkway, Charlesworth Drive, A28 Canterbury Road, Minster Road, Shottendane Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Vale, Broadstairs, CT10 2DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Vale, Broadstairs, on or after 25th November 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 73, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Vale, Osborne Road, The Broadway, A255 The Broadway, A255 High Street, A255 Queens Road, A255 Ramsgate Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tothill Street, Minster, CT12 4AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tothill Street, Minster, on or after 17th November 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 14, between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tothill Street, A299 Mount Pleasant, A299 Canterbury Road West, A299 Monkton Roundabout, Willetts Hill, Monkton Street, Monkton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Victoria Road, Margate, CT9 1SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Margate, on or after 25th November 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Wheatley Place to outside St Johns Church. The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Addington Road and A255 High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Road, Union Crescent, B2055 Cecil Street, B2055 Hawley Square, B2055 Churchfield Place, B2055 Churchfields and A255 High Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Wayborough Hill, Minster, CT12 4HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wayborough Hill, Minster, on or after 23rd November 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Wren Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Westgate Bay Avenue, Westgate On Sea, CT8 8SS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westgate Bay Avenue, Westgate On Sea, on or after 9th November 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Flat 1 - 3, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westgate Bay Avenue, Domneva Road, Sea Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Various Roads, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow relining works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Margate, on or after 29th November 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be imposed between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2055 Marine Gardens will be closed between the junctions of A254 Belgrave Road and Albert Terrace.
A28 Marine Terrace will be closed from the mini roundabout to the junction of A254 Belgrave Road..
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B20055 Marine Gardens, B2055 Queen Street, B2055 Cecil Square, B2055 Hawley Street, B2055 Trinity Square, B2055 Northdown Road, Northdown Road, Sweyn Road, B2051 Queens Parade, B2051 Ethelbert Crescent, B2051 Ethelbert Terrace, B2051 Cliff Terrace, B2051 Fort Crescent, B2051 Fort Hill, B2051 The Parade, B2051 Marine Drive and vice versa.
A254 Belgrave Road will be closed between the junctions of A28 Marine Terrace and Hall By The Sea Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road, A254 Belgrave Road, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, B2055 Churchfields, B2055 Churchfield Place, B2055 Hawley Square, B2055 Cecil Street, B2055 Cecil Square, B2055 Queen Street and B2055 Marine Gardens.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
