Aston Lane, Mill Lane - Temporary Road Closure To Sinkhole Repair
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ASTON LANE, MILL LANE, FOSTON
WHEN: 23 November to 27 November 2026 (09:00 to 15:00).
WHERE: Aston Lane, Mill Lane, Foston between Mill Lane and Coplow Lane.
REASON: To facilitate sinkhole repair.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Aston Lane, Breach Lane, Unnamed Road from Breach Lane to Uttoxeter Road, Uttoxeter Road, Hay Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re- open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
