HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn Bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1.     Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 15fed Tachwedd 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau ar 15fed Tachwedd 2026, gan weithio rhwng 09:00-14:00.  

2.     Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i alluogi Wales and West Utilities i gynnal gwaith atgyweirio ar hyd yr A4042; bydd Heol Berthon ar gau fel rhan o'u cynigion ar gyfer rheoli traffig.  

3.     Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd cau dros dro ran o’r A472 Heol Berthon, y Felin Fach, Sir Fynwy, ~475m i'r gorllewin o'r gyffordd â Llys Millbrook am ~45m.  

4.     Bydd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn: A4042, A40, A449, A472.  

5.     Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro A472 Heol Berthon, y Felin Fach, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6.     Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.     The Order shall come into operation on the 15th November 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 15th November 2026, operating between 09:00-14:00.  

2.     The order is necessary to allow Wales and West Utilities to undertake Repair works along the A4042, Berthon Road will be closed as part of their Traffic Management Proposals.  

3.     The effect of the order will be to temporarily close a section of A472 Berthon Road, Little Mill, Monmouthshire , ~475m west from its junction with Millbrook Court for ~45m  

4.     A signed diversionary route will be in place as follows:- A4042, A40, A449, A472 and vice versa.  

5.     This order may be cited as the A472 Berthon Road, Little Mill, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6.     By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
