Leiston - Temporary Road Closures for Plaza Roundabout Completion Works
What is happening?
Sizewell C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2022/853 - Article 24 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF B1122 ABBEY ROAD; PART OF EASTBRIDGE ROAD AND PART OF LOVERS LANE, LEISTON
SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order closing part of B1122 Abbey Road from its junction with Rowley Mews to its junction with Potters Street; Eastbridge Road from its junction with B1122 Abbey Road for approximately 400m and Lovers Lane from its junction with Abbey Road to its junction with King George's Avenue to facilitate works associated with the completion of the Plaza Roundabout.
Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route for Abbey Road will be B1122, B1069, A1094, A12, B1122 and vice versa. The diversion route for Eastbridge Road will be Eastbridge Road, Church Road and Bakers Hill / Onner's Lane.
The diversion route for Lovers Lane will be King George's Avenue, B1122 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate at all hours between 8pm on Friday 20th November until 5am on Monday 23rd November, and at all hours between 8pm on Friday 27th November until 5am on Monday 30th November. The closure will also be in place 8pm - 5am on Monday - Friday nights between 8pm on Monday 23rd November until 5am on Saturday 5th December.
