THE BOROUGH OF BROXBOURNE (VARIOUS ROADS) (DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 29 October 2026, the Council of the Borough of Broxbourne, pursuant to arrangements made with Hertfordshire County Council under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Authorities (Arrangements for the Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000, propose to make an order under Sections 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which is to:
1. Provide Disabled Persons’ Parking Places adjacent to or outside the following premises or in the locations indicated if not directly outside the premises as shown;

ii. 37 Ditchfield Road, Hoddesdon In parking bay, outside No. 37
iii. 11 Hobsons Close, Hoddesdon In parking bay, adjacent to No. 19
iv. 10 Winterscroft Road, Hoddesdon Outside No. 10
v. 5 Roman Street,Hoddesdon Outside No. 5
vi. 44 Rowan Drive, Turnford Adjacent to No. 50
vii. 168 Macers Lane, Turnford Outside No.168
viii. 5 Dewhurst Road, Cheshunt Outside No. 5
ix. 38 Dewhurst Road, Cheshunt Outside No. 38
x. 29 Barrow Lane, Cheshunt (In Service Road), adjacent to No. 27
xi. 31 Barrow Lane, Cheshunt (In Service Road), adjacent to No. 49

2. Remove the existing Disabled Persons’ Parking Places at the following locations which are no longer being used;
1. 122 Dewhurst Road, Cheshunt 6. 54 Hawthorn Road, Hoddesdon
2. 1 Barbel Close, Waltham Cross 7. 1 Mayo Close, Cheshunt
3. 66 Berners Way, Broxbourne 8. 12 Mayo Close, Cheshunt
The Order will come in to force on 09 December 2026.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order namely a copy of the Order and maps contained in it, showing each length of road to which the Order relates, a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, the Notice relating to the Council’s intention to make the Order together with a copy of The Borough of Broxbourne (Control of Parking) Consolidation) Order 2022, may be inspected on the Councils website (www.broxbourne.gov.uk/community/consultations).
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on any grounds that any requirements of that Act or any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from 29 October, make any application for this purpose to the High Court.
