Notice of Proposal

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 – (Amendment No.56) 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:

Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by:

i. introducing the No Waiting At Any Time prohibitions as outlined in Schedule 1 below, and by replacing Map Tile No's AC139, and AD139 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

• 60m South from the junction with Highfield Crescent, for a distance of 78.5m in a south westerly direction.

• 93m South from the junction with Highfield Crescent, for a distance of 53m in a south westerly direction.

Notice of Intention

(MANCHESTER ROAD, WILMSLOW) – PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF (VERTICAL TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES 2026)

1. Notice is hereby given that Cheshire East Borough Council proposes in exercise of its powers under section 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, to construct raised traffic calming measures at the following locations:

Manchester Road – Approximately 6 metres South of the junction with Bluebell Way. Approximately 13 metres North of the junction with Styal Road and 22 metres South of the junction with Styal Road.

Styal Road – Approximately 13 metres West of the junction with Manchester Road.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Brook Lane, Alderley Edge – For the full extent.

This order will come into operation on Monday 16th November 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed on the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 30th November 2026.
