KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(ROODS LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Roods Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with High Beeches to its junction with Kiln Acre PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected lengths of Roods Lane, Flush House Lane, Digley Royd Lane, Bank Top Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 16 November 2026 and remain in force until 18 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(EVERARD STREET/LIGHTCLIFFE ROAD, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield:-

Point Closures

Everard Street - at its junction with Park Road
Lightcliffe Road - at its junction with Park Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Everard Street - via the unaffected length of Everard Street, Nabcroft Lane, Blackmoorfoot Road, Park Road and vice versa.

Lightcliffe Road - via the unaffected length of Lightcliffe Road, Clement Street, Blackmoorfoot Road, Park Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 16 November 2026 and remain in force until 4 December 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SOUTH LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of South Lane, Holmfirth from its junction with Dunford Road to its junction with Back Lane

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dunford Road, Town Gate, Station Road, Back Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday, 17 November 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LINAKER STREET, LOCKWOOD, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Linaker Street, Lockwood from a point approximately 65 metres from its junction with Bland Street to a point approximately 110 metres from its junction with Bland Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Linaker Street, Victoria Road, Victoria Street, Lockwood Road, St Stephen’s Road, Bland Street.

To facilitate the diversionary route the existing One Way Traffic restrictions on Linaker Street which relate to this closure only will be temporarily suspended for the duration of this closure (i.e. two way traffic).

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 18 November 2026 and remain in force until 20 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(FENAY LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 4) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Fenay Lane, Almondbury from a point outside property no. 7 to a point outside property no. 11 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Fenay Lane, Penistone Road, Southfield Road, Northgate and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 16 November 2026 and remain in force until 17 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BURN ROAD, BIRCHENCLIFFE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) AND (SUSPENSION OF EXISTING ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Burn Road, Birchencliffe from its junction with Forest Court to its junction with Woodlands Court PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available as follows:-

Woodlands Court - via permitted access through oneway section Burn Road, Halifax Road

Forest Court - via the unaffected length of Burn Road, Yew Tree Road

NB To facilitate the diversionary route the existing “One-Way Order” restrictions on Burn Road which relate to this closure only will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the closure (i.e. traffic will be two way)

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 November 2026 and remain in force until 6 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(COLNE BRIDGE ROAD, COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Colne Bridge Road, Colne Bridge from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 7

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Colne Bridge Road, Leeds Road, Southgate, Wakefield Road, Liley Lane, Bellstring Lane, Highgate Lane, Moor Top Road, Upper Heaton Lane, Bog Green Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 19:00 hours on Monday, 2 November 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 3 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BANK LANE, WOOLDALE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bank Lane, Wooldale from New Mill Road to its junction with Town End Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Mill Road, Bill Lane, Town End Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 November 2026 and remain in force until 6 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHARE HILL ROAD, GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Share Hill Road, Golcar from its junction with Access to 2-5 Share Hill Road to its junction with Victoria Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Diversion 1 - via the unaffected length of Share Hill Road, Lower Wellhouse Road, Radcliffe Road, Carr Lane, Britannia Road, Back O’Dam, Manchester Road, Morley Lane, Market Street, Scar Lane, James Street, Brook Lane;

Diversion 2 - via Brook Lane, James Street, Scar Lane, Market Street, Yates Lane, Morley Lane, Manchester Road, Back O’Dam, Britannia Road, Carr Lane, Radcliffe Road, Lower Wellhouse Road, Share Hill Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 November 2026 and remain in force until 20 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(NEW GATE/UPPER HOUSE ROAD, HADE EDGE, HOLMFIRTH ) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of New Gate/Upper House Road, Hade Edge from a point to side of Wickleden to its junction with Cartwrights PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative diversionary routes for traffic affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Upper House Road, Strines Moor Road, Penistone Road, Scholes Moor Road, Little Cake, New Gate and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 2 November 2026 and remain in force until 3 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH HOL/190/10, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Public Footpath HOL/190/10, Holmfirth from its junction with Public Footpath HOL/68/10 to its junction with Public Footpath HOL/66/20 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.

Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Public Footpaths HOL/68/10, HOL/68/30, HOL/189/60, HOL/66/20 and vice versa.

The closure will commence on Thursday, 5 November 2026 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 15 October 2026 and will remain in force until 11 November 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).
