ST ALBANS CITY & DISTRICT COUNCIL
The St Albans City And District Council (Hertfordshire) (Control Of Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ST ALBANS CITY AND DISTRICT COUNCIL ("the Council") in accordance with Regulation 21 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Authorities (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with Hertfordshire County Council ("the County Council") in exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 1(1), 2(1)-(3), 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act"), as amended, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, made the above Order which will come into operation on 30 October 2026 and the effect of which is to:

1. Consolidate all prohibition and restriction of waiting, loading and stopping Orders and provisions for on street parking places Orders listed in the Schedule to this Notice; and

2. Present those prohibitions, restriction and provisions in a new map-based Traffic Regulation Order management system without change to those provisions.
