Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON PRIDE PARKWAY, DERBY
WHEN: 29 November 2026 to 04 December 2026 (20:00 - 06.00) Daily
WHERE: Pride Parkway, one way closure from the roundabout junction with Royal Scot Road for a distance of approximately 130 metres in a southerly direction.
REASON: New electrical works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pride Parkway – Station Approach – The Cock Pitt – Traffic Street – London Road – Harrow Street – Pride Parkway.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cheviot Street – Mackenzie Street – Napier Street – Morley Street – Hawke Street (and the same in the opposite direction).
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE BUS LANE ORDER, TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON NORMANTON ROAD AND TEMPORARY LEFT TURN CLOSURE ORDER ON LARA CROFT WAY, DERBY
WHEN: 07 November 2026 to 08 November 2026 (20.00 to 06.00)
WHERE: Normanton Road, close inbound from its junction with Lara Croft Way. Normanton Road, suspension of the bus lane from opposite its junction with Leopold Street to opposite its junction with Sacheverel Street West. Lara Croft Way, close the left turn into Normanton Road.
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Warwick Avenue – Stenson Road – Upper Dale Road – Stanhope Street – Pear Tree Road – Normanton Road.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ROSE HILL STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 22 November 2026 to 22 November 2026
WHERE: Rose Hill Street, from its junction with Reginald Street to its junction with Molineux Street.
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Molineux Street – Cambridge Street – Sale Street – Rose Hill Street and Rose Hill Street – Reginald Street – Osmaston Road – Douglas Street – Malcolm Street.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON STENSON ROAD AND BREEDON AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 15 November 2026 to 15 November 2026
WHERE: Stenson Road, either side of its junction with Breedon Avenue
REASON: Drainage works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stenson Road – Blagreaves Lane – The Hollow – Hillsway – Burton Road – Warwick Avenue – Stenson Road (and the same in the opposite direction) and Breedon Avenue – Instow Drive – Stenson Road (and the same in the opposite direction).
