Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures for Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B3086 (Part), Shrewton; from its junction with The Packway for a distance of approximately 2138m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3086 (unaffected length) – A360 – B3086 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 02 December 2026. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: B) C32 (Part), Enford; from its property known as No.12 Coombe for a distance of approximately 98m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out expose buried manhole and raise to ground level and other associated works. Alternative route via C32 (unaffected length) – Enford Hill – A345 – C260 – C32 (unaffected length) and vice versa. C) B3080 (Part), Downton; from its junction with The Sidings for a distance of approximately 350m in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3080 (unaffected length) – A338 – B3078 – B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 until 11 November 2026. D) C42 (Part), Wilsford Cum Lake; from its property known as Parsonage Cottage for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out replacement of chamber & cover and other associated works. Alternative route via C42 (unaffected length) – C350 – A345 – C292 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 November 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. E) C43 (Part), Fonthill Bishop; from its junction with A303 to its junction with B3089 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway retexturing and associated works. Alternative route via B3089 – A350 – A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 5 weekdays. F) Grovely Road (Part), Barford St Martin; for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out detailed bridge examination and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 04 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. G) C25 (Part), Ansty; from its junction with C316 to its junction with Kings Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway retexturing and associated works. Alternative route via C25 (unaffected length) – A30 – C316 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 November 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 5 weekdays. H) C64 (Part), Eovant; from its junction with A30 for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway improvement and associated works. Alternative route via C64 (unaffected length) – C276 – C317 – A30 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 01 September 2026 will now recommence on 02 November 2026 and the closure will be required until 20 November 2026. Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Order H) has a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
