Notice Of Variation: Off-Street Car Parks - Parking Charges In The North Hertfordshire District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the NORTH HERTFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL in exercise of its powers under Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and in compliance with regulation 25 of part V of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and under all other enabling powers, by notice intends to vary 2026/2027 parking tariff charges as free on a temporary basis between the period 8:00am on 23 November 2026 to 6:00pm on 24 December 2026 in the following Royston car parks as detailed in Schedule 1 below, and all 2026/2027 parking tariff charges will resume thereafter.
Tariff Charges
These temporary Free parking charges will come into effect at 8:00 am on Monday 23 November 2026 and terminate at 6:00pm on Thursday 24 December 2026.

The effect of which is to vary charges in Schedule 2 of the above Order as varied by a notice of variation dated 26.03.2026 to be paid in connection with off-street parking tickets between
