Main Street, Bathley - Temporary Prohibitions Of Traffic For Carriageway Recycling And Resurfacing

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (N26-455)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Bathley in the District of Newark & Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a) Main Street, Bathley - its entire length

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (At Any Time) in the following length of road:
a) Main Street, Bathley - its entire length

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:30 hours, Monday, 09 November 2026
Until 17:30 hours, Friday, 20 November 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Main Street - Bathley Lane - Crow Lane - Great North
Road - Nelson Lane - Main Street - Vicarage Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday, 09 November 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
