What is happening?

WHEN: 16 November to 18 November 2026 (19:00 to 06:00 Nightly - Westbound 16/17 Nov & Eastbound 17/18 Nov).
WHERE: Chapel by-pass, Chapel-en-le-Frith between roundabout on A6 near Bowden, Bowden Lane, Foresters Way, roundabout on A6 at Bridgemont.
REASON: To facilitate bridge structural inspections.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A5004, A53, A6 and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
