LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD

Proposed introduction of 40mph and 50mph Speed Limits in Ferny Hill and Hadley Road

1. NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make the Enfield (Speed Limits) (No. ) Order 202 under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to:-

(a) introduce 40 m.p.h. speed limit in Hadley Road, between a point 50 metres west of the western flank wall of No.51 Hadley Road and a point 65.7 metres west of the western flank wall of Parkside Farm Cottage:-

(b) introduce 50 m.p.h. speed limit in:-

(i) Ferny Hill, between a point 48 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Cockfosters Road and its junction with Hadley Road;

(ii) Hadley Road, between its junction with Ferny Hill and a point 65.7 metres west of the western flank wall of Parkside Farm Cottage.

3. A copy of the proposed Order, the Notice and of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can:-

(a) be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive;

(b) also be inspected online at: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/roads-and-transport/traffic-management-orders/

(c) be obtained by emailing TMO@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to Transport, Climate and Place (quoting reference TG52/1630 Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XA.

4. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order, or make any other representations in respect of it should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection stating the grounds thereof, to Journey and Places, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD by 18th November 2026 or by e-mail to TMO@enfield.gov.uk.
